Former Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has snubbed Nigeria, naming Morocco as Africa's most tactical team ahead of their AFCON 2025 semi-final clash on Wednesday. Speaking on the Global Football Insights podcast, Oliseh described the Atlas Lions as "the best team we are meeting so far" and "the most tactical team in Africa at the moment." He added that Morocco "is as solid as us" and "almost as good as we are." The Atlas Lions reached the semi-finals by beating Cameroon 2-0, while Nigeria defeated Algeria by the same scoreline. Morocco's coach, Walid Regragui, has warned his players to prepare for potential sack if they fail to deliver against the Super Eagles. Oliseh also named Ademola Lookman as Nigeria's most important player and the country's leading goal contributor in the tournament. The semi-final tie promises tactical intrigue as both teams boast strong defensive records and enter with momentum from comprehensive quarter-final victories.
