Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, the Oluwole of Iwoland, has called on US President Donald Trump to apologise to Iran to help America retain its global leadership status. Speaking through his Chief Press Secretary, Alli Ibraheem, the monarch stated it was not too late for the United States to mend diplomatic ties through a formal apology to Iranian authorities and allied nations. Oba Akanbi described the US as a "dream country built on justice and credibility" but warned that the current conflict with Iran has become a test of leadership for Trump, adding, "Trump is failing but it is not too late to right the wrong." He cautioned that strained relations among NATO member states require a strong address from Trump to restore confidence. The traditional ruler also highlighted the global economic impact of the conflict, noting it has created widespread uncertainty and hardship, and warned that "Nature may not forgive Trump for staging such an avoidable war." He urged all parties involved, including Israel, to improve diplomatic relations to ensure collective survival.
