OPay expands N1.2B scholarship to 4 more schools, now partners with 24 institutions nationwide

The ₦1.2 billion, 10-year initiative awards ₦300,000 annually to 20 need-based, high-performing students per institution. Since launch, the programme has supported hundreds of students from disadvantaged backgrounds. OPay's CSR Manager Itoro Udo emphasized the commitment to expanding educational access nationwide, stating the fintech aims to build a Nigeria where finance and education opportunities are inclusive and consistent. The company, licensed by CBN and NDIC-insured since 2018, frames this as part of its mission to empower future leaders through technology-driven financial services.
