Orokpo Urges Nigerians to Vote Out Incompetent Leaders in 2027
Apostle Michael Orokpo, founder of Encounter Jesus Ministry International, has urged Nigerians to vote out incompetent leaders in the coming 2027 elections. The cleric made the call during a recent sermon while reacting to ongoing terrorist activities that have resulted in killings and abductments of citizens nationwide.
Orokpo expressed pessimism that Nigerians may still prioritize tribal affiliations over competent leadership, stating that spiritual leaders' instructions on voting are often ignored. "Hundreds of people die in Nigeria but all we are interested is optics," he said, criticizing leaders whose children have not been in the country for years while citizens receive small amounts of money during elections.
The cleric called for citizens to employ self-defense mechanisms during attacks while voting for capable leaders in 2027. "When they are killing people they don't care about your tribe," he emphasized. "Election is still coming, we will talk and you will still say it's your tribe. Enough is enough, prepare for 2027. While you are praying and defending yourself, be alive to see them voted out."
