The forum added that any political engagement involving the Fulani must follow established traditional processes and recognised leadership structures. It explained that such processes include consultations through community authorities such as the Seriki, Ardos, and other chieftaincy institutions. “Interested political parties or candidates seeking our support must engage through appropriate and recognised channels,” Meiburuji said. The forum also noted that it maintains a database of Fulani populations across the state, estimating their number at over 30,000 people spread across all local government areas. It urged the public, political stakeholders, and the media to verify information before dissemination and to respect due process and the integrity of Fulani traditional institutions.
