PDP BoT backs state congresses, national convention

PDP Board of Trustees Chairman Mao Ohuabunwa expressed optimism that weekend state congresses will strengthen party structures nationwide. The congresses, scheduled for this weekend, aim to deepen internal democracy and reposition the party. Preparations are underway for the National Convention on March 29-30, which will further reposition the party and reaffirm its commitment to democratic values. Court of Appeal rulings affirming the legality of the National Caretaker Committee led by Abdulrahman Mohammed have provided clarity and stability. The BoT also emphasized strengthening membership through an ongoing electronic registration initiative to modernize the party's system and create a reliable database.
