Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leadership, led by National Caretaker Committee Chairman Alhaji Abdulrahman Mohammed, issued a forceful call for restraint among members during the 86th Board of Trustees (BoT) meeting. Mohammed emphasized that recent court rulings affirming the legality of the caretaker committee should serve as a final signal to end internal litigations, stating "Enough of litigations that will delay our activities towards the 2027 general election". The meeting, presided over by Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, outlined the party's roadmap including state congresses this weekend and National Convention March 29-30. Ohuabunwa characterized the gathering as a "defining moment" requiring wisdom and institutional memory, noting successful grassroots congresses demonstrate PDP's commitment to participatory democracy. The PDP reaffirmed respect for court decisions and commitment to rule of law following recent Court of Appeal judgments supporting the caretaker committee's authority.
