PDP chieftain clarifies Court of Appeal ruling on convention
Umar Sani, PDP chieftain, states Court of Appeal did not nullify party's national convention. Sani told Trust TV the court upheld a lower court's judgment issued before the convention, which only set conditions for holding it. He clarified the court did not order congresses in 14 states or require notice to INEC before the convention. Sani plans to challenge the court's claim that the convention wasn't held in the Supreme Court, arguing it's not the court's role to intervene in internal party leadership disputes.
