Analysts say the meeting may be to deliberate on the party’s political direction amid ongoing internal crises. According to AIT, the expanded stakeholders’ meeting comes just a week after a similar gathering in Bauchi attended by Governor Mohammed, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, and former Bayelsa Governor Seriake Dickson, leader of the newly registered Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC). The discussions are expected to influence whether Governor Mohammed and other appointees remain in PDP or consider alternative political alignments.
