The Peoples Democratic Party has established appeal panels to handle grievances arising from its recently concluded presidential, governorship, and legislative primaries. The move aims to strengthen transparency and fairness in candidate selection processes ahead of future elections.

National Publicity Secretary Jungudo Mohammed announced that two panels will sit at the party's Abuja secretariat: a nine-member committee for state assembly and National Assembly appeals (June 8-9), and a 24-member committee for governorship and presidential disputes (starting June 10).

The presidential and governorship panel will be led by National Chairman Abdulrahman Mohammed and includes former National Secretary Samuel Anyanwu. Suleiman Afolagbe chairs the legislative appeals panel. Both panels will review contestant complaints and make recommendations in line with the party's constitution and electoral guidelines.

This reflects PDP's efforts to ensure credible candidate selection through structured dispute resolution. The panels represent the party's commitment to addressing internal democratic concerns before major elections.
