He revealed that during a two‑hour meeting in Ibadan with Professor Pat Utomi, he learned that Makinde had not received a single call from Tinubu regarding the crisis, contrasting this with past presidents who regularly contacted state leaders during security crises. Obi warned that the president’s apparent indifference is turning public frustration into deep, volatile resentment, warning that uncompassionate leadership risks worsening national insecurity.
