Police Arrest Two Over killing Of Motorcycle Rider In Oyo

A file photo of a pair of handcuff.   The Oyo State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of two members of the Agbekoya group in connection with the killing of a commercial motorcycle rider, popularly known as an Okada rider, during a clash in Ibadan on Saturday evening. He stated that the incident involved a confrontation between the Okada rider and members of the Agbekoya group. According to the police, the victim, identified simply as Awo, lost his life in the course of the altercation, which escalated into violence under circumstances that are still being investigated. The Command confirmed that two suspects linked to the Agbekoya group had been apprehended in connection with the incident, while efforts were ongoing to track down and arrest another suspect who is currently at large. He assured residents that security operatives are on the ground to prevent any further breakdown of law and order.
