The spokesperson of the command, ASP Blessing Agabe, announced the deployment in a statement issued in Port Harcourt on Friday. She assured that all approved centres for the JAMB examination would be adequately secured. “To this end, deployed personnel have been directed to maintain professionalism, remain courteous, and act decisively against any security breaches. “Personnel have also been mandated to prevent examination malpractice and ensure orderliness at all UTME centres across the state,” she said. Agabe said that officers would collaborate with relevant stakeholders to secure examination venues, adjoining areas, and access routes. She added that enhanced patrols, intelligence gathering, and traffic control had been activated around the centres. Agabe quoted Adepoju as urging candidates, parents, and guardians to cooperate with security personnel and adhere to examination guidelines. “Any individual or group attempting to undermine the integrity of the examination will be dealt with in accordance with the law,” he warned. The commissioner reaffirmed the command’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property across the state, advising residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to security agencies.
