Qatar confirmsseven killed in helicopter crash with Turkey
Qatar's interior ministry confirmed seven fatalities in a helicopter crash involving Qatari and Turkish personnel. The incident occurred in Qatar's territorial waters on Sunday, marking the first recorded deaths between the two countries since US-Israel strikes on Iran on February 28. Qatar's defence ministry identified the victims as Captain Mubarak Salem Daway al-Marri, Sergeant Fahad Hadi Ghanem al-Khayarin, Corporal Mohammed Maher Mohammed, and Captain Saeed Nasser Sameekh from the Qatari armed forces, along with Major Sinan Tastekin from Qatar-Turkey Joint Forces and Turkish civilians Suleiman Cemra Kahraman and Ismail Anas. The Qatari defence ministry attributed the crash to a 'technical malfunction' during a routine flight. Rescue operations have concluded with all individuals recovered.
