Scholes: Chelsea should have hired Fabregas over Rosenior as manager
Paul Scholes insists Chelsea made a mistake appointing Liam Rosenior as manager. On The Good, The Bad & The Football podcast, the Manchester United legend said former Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas—currently coaching Como—would have been a better choice for the Blues. Scholes stated: 'I actually like what Fabregas is doing and think he might have been a better choice for Chelsea than Liam Rosenior.' Rosenior was appointed after Enzo Maresca's dismissal at Stamford Bridge. Fabregas, who played for Chelsea between 2014 and 2019, is currently managing Italian Serie B side Como. The former Arsenal midfielder has been linked with several Premier League jobs since beginning his coaching career. Scholes added that Fabregas 'isn't right for Manchester United,' whose manager search continues following Ruben Amorim's sacking. Chelsea currently sit mid-table in the Premier League under Rosenior's leadership.
