SDP candidate Adebayo accuses govt elites, promises 2027 vote ends insecurity
SDP presidential candidate Adewole Adebayo unveiled his 2027 election manifesto on September 8, 2026, declaring that the elites residing in the Presidential Villa and state government houses are Nigeria’s major problem. He argued that bad leadership has plagued the country since 1999 and warned that if Nigerians vote for the right leadership in the January 16, 2027 general election, banditry, terrorism and kidnapping could disappear within four years, claiming up to 60 percent of bandits would be defeated. Adebayo also challenged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to a public debate ahead of the poll, insisting the incumbent must come out to discuss the issues. The manifesto was broadcast live on TVC and monitored by DAILY POST. He framed the upcoming vote as a chance to replace what he calls a corrupt elite with a government capable of restoring security nationwide.
