SDP presidential candidate Adewole Adebayo told Channels TV's Politics Today earlier today that he contested against INEC in the 2023 presidential election, calling it a charade with fake results. Adebayo stated, "In 2023, I contested against INEC. INEC were the opponents. What happened in 2023 was not good at all. All those numbers are fake. The whole thing was a charade." He emphasized that using 2023 election numbers to legitimize governance is endorsing fraud.

Adebayo expressed hope that 2027 polls will be candidate versus candidate, not against INEC or police, praying for electoral commission and police leadership to foster fair competition. He urged Nigerians to unite across parties, noting even some APC members recognize the party's irrelevance under one-man rule. The opposition figure stressed that election scores should reflect effort, not manipulation.

This allegation challenges the foundation of Nigeria's democratic process, as electoral integrity directly impacts citizens' trust in governance and their ability to effect change through votes. With 2027 approaching, Adebayo's comments highlight ongoing concerns about INEC's impartiality and the need for systemic reform beyond mere opposition unity.

Will you demand transparent electoral reforms before 2027 to ensure your vote counts, or accept the risk of another election perceived as rigged against the people?
