Senate confirms Taiwo Oyedele as Minister of State for Finance
Senate President Godswill Akpabio stated the Senate did not ask Taiwo Oyedele to resign after his ministerial screening because Nigerians listening to him were getting educated. Akpabio explained Oyedele would study working documents to generate policies that could put Nigeria's economy on the right footing. The Senate confirmed Oyedele's appointment as Minister of State for Finance, replacing Dr. Doris Anite-Uzoka, barely 24 hours after President Tinubu nominated him.
