SERAP Demands Senate Publish NNPCL Officials' Names Over ₦210 Trillion Claims
SERAP has demanded the Senate publish names and positions of officials implicated in ₦210 trillion missing from NNPCL, citing audit discrepancies from 2017-2023. The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) sent a March 21, 2026 letter to Senate President Godswill Akpabio, urging publication of audit reports, financial records, and timelines for officials' appearances. SERAP seeks transparency to prevent cover-ups and allow public scrutiny of the ₦103 trillion joint venture costs and ₦107 trillion receivables discrepancies. Despite summons, some officials failed to appear, raising accountability concerns. SERAP gave a 7-day compliance window or legal action. The Senate investigation must ensure impartial examination to uphold rule of law and protect Nigeria's economic future.
