Public affairs commentator Mahdi Shehu has sarcastically criticized the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) following Governor Dauda Lawal's political uncertainty. In a post on his verified X handle, Shehu used religious metaphors to suggest Lawal's prayers had been answered, stating 'DAUDA LAWAL DARE: PRAYERS ANSWERED?' He declared 'No more leg dragging. No more knee jacking. No more grand standing. No more swearing. No more prayers. Survival instinct is the only visible human reality.' Shehu also congratulated the All Progressives Congress (APC) and declared 'RIP PDP. Sorry ADC.' This comes after Lawal stated his next political move depends on the Court of Appeal's ruling on PDP's leadership crisis, specifically the legality of Kabiru Tanimu Turaki's leadership and the validity of the party's Ibadan convention. The outcome could determine whether Lawal remains in PDP or defects to another party.
