Sheikh Gumi calls Ali Khamenei 'lucky soul' who died in jihad
Islamic cleric Sheikh Ahmad Gumi described Iran's former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei as "a lucky soul" who "died in jihad against killers of innocent children and women in Gaza and elsewhere." Gumi posted on Facebook that Khamenei's blood "will fuel the change in the ummah" and noted the leader "stood firmly for justice and didn't hide in bunkers." The cleric added a warning to those who killed Khamenei or assisted in his death. DAILY POST reported Khamenei died after an Israeli strike in Tehran on Saturday. He served as Iran's Supreme Leader for decades and was a central figure in the country's political and religious leadership. Iran declared 40 days of mourning following his death.
