Metro Six Boko Haram suspects face fresh investigation in Borno Published on April 19, 2026 By Hadiza Musa Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have handed over six suspected Boko Haram members to joint investigators for further investigation in Borno State, as efforts to dismantle insurgent networks in the North-East continue. The development was contained in a post shared on X on Sunday by security analyst, Zagazola Makama, who disclosed that the suspects were transferred to the Joint Investigation Centre (JIC) in Maiduguri. According to the post, the suspects were earlier in the custody of troops of the 232 Battalion (Task Force), who carried out preliminary investigations before handing them over on April 13. The individuals were identified as Alhaji Saleh Manman Ibrahim, 44; Ado John, 27; Umaru Yunusa, 22; Musa Yauba, 43; Muhammad Salisu, 44; and Babangida Isah Muhammad, 28. Security sources said the transfer is part of ongoing efforts by the military to deepen investigations, properly profile the suspects, and uncover possible links to Boko Haram and other insurgent groups operating in the region.
