At the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, Bendel Insurance edged Kun Khalifat FC 4-2 after leading 3-0 through Alex Oweilayefa, Suraju Lawal and Chinedu Nwosu; a penalty from Uchechukwu Onuoha and a late goal by Oghenetega Ebetomame narrowed the gap but Chinedu Nwosu’s second restored Insurance’s cushion.
