Super Eagles camp in Lisbon as Portugal friendly approaches
Alex Iwobi and Christian Akpan have joined the Super Eagles camp in Lisbon as preparations intensify for Nigeria's international friendly against Portugal. Iwobi, who missed the Poland friendly, arrived Thursday while KRC Genk defender Christian Akpan earned his first Super Eagles call-up following withdrawals of other invited players. Samuel Chukwueze is expected to join camp today (Friday) after being unavailable for recent matches following his mother's passing and burial. Pisa forward Rafiu Durosinmi has been granted leave from camp to attend to urgent personal matters. Nineteen players who participated in the 2-2 draw with Poland in Warsaw traveled to Portugal on Thursday to continue preparations.
