TecnoCamon 50 Pro and Camon 50 launch in Kenya and Nigeria

Tecno Mobile quietly launched the Tecno Camon 50 and Tecno Camon 50 Pro in Kenya and Nigeria on February 18, 2026, ahead of their official showcase at Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona from March 2-5. The premium sub-brand of Transsion Holdings targets African markets with these mid-range phones featuring flagship-like durability and AI enhancements. Both models offer a 6.78-inch AMOLED display, 6500mAh battery, and IP68/IP69K ratings, with the Pro model adding a periscope telephoto lens and curved screen. The Camon 50 Pro (KES 38,999-NGN 420,000) includes optical zoom and premium design, while the Camon 50 (KES 34,999-NGN 285,000) offers a flat screen and better value. Key differences: Pro has 3x optical zoom, curved display, and 12GB RAM; Camon 50 has flat screen, 8GB RAM, and lower price. Both support 45W charging and have AI features like One-Tap AI Key and Ella assistant. Available in six colors across both markets.
