President Bola Tinubu announced Friday his administration has stabilized Nigeria's telecommunications sector over the past three years. According to the president's third anniversary speech, confidence is gradually returning after years of severe operational pressures and declining investment in the telecoms industry.

Tinubu stated telecom operators are now expanding networks, investing in infrastructure, recruiting Nigerian talent, and widening digital access across the country. "We also took decisive action to stabilise the telecommunications sector, which remains one of the most important drivers of modern economic growth," the president emphasized.

The administration claims a connected Nigeria is a more competitive Nigeria, with digital infrastructure now essential to commerce, education, innovation, and national productivity. However, the speech didn't provide specific metrics or investment figures to quantify the claimed stabilization.

With Nigeria's digital economy increasingly vital for economic growth, will you notice improved telecom services in your area, or do you believe more needs to be done to address connectivity challenges in your community?
