President Bola Tinubu has commended NDLEA for busting a Nigerian-Mexican drug syndicate and seizing illicit drugs worth over $360 million. The operation, announced by NDLEA Chairman Buba Marwa on Wednesday, involved weeks of intelligence gathering and led to arrests of foreign nationals and local kingpins.

Tinubu described the bust as a significant milestone in Nigeria's campaign against organized crime, warning that West Africa has become a major transit corridor for cocaine and synthetic drugs bound for Europe and North America. The president emphasized that beyond security threats, drugs pose grave dangers to young people who've become victims of addiction and exploitation.

The president called on all Nigerians to support security agencies by remaining vigilant and reporting suspicious activities. 'This landmark success shows our security agencies will not tolerate organized crime anywhere in the country,' Tinubu said, urging citizens to see the fight against drugs as everyone's responsibility.
