Tinubu meets UK PM Starmer in closed-door talks

President Bola Tinubu held a closed-door meeting with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer at 10 Downing Street in London during his official visit. The leaders did not address the press, but Tinubu described the outcome as "very good". The meeting aims to deepen Nigeria-UK relations, with agreements expected on trade, investment, defence, and cultural cooperation. A major highlight includes a £746 million financing deal between UK Export Finance, Nigerian Ports Authority, and Federal Ministry of Finance to refurbish key maritime infrastructure at Lagos Port Complex and Tin Can Island Port Complex.
