Tinubu says Nigeria becoming safer in some regions
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu says security conditions are improving in some parts of Nigeria, marking progress three years into his administration. The president stated that ongoing military operations and security reforms are yielding results in certain regions, especially where troops have intensified operations against terrorists, bandits, kidnappers and criminal networks.
'Our Armed Forces and security agencies have intensified operations against terrorists, bandits, kidnappers and criminal networks,' Tinubu noted. 'While challenges remain, many communities and highways are becoming safer and more economically active.'
The administration is investing more in intelligence gathering, surveillance, technology and inter-agency cooperation to strengthen the fight against insecurity nationwide. 'We continue investing in intelligence, surveillance, logistics, technology and inter-agency coordination,' the president added.
Tinubu assured Nigerians that his administration would not relent until peace and stability are restored across the country. 'We are improving the capabilities of our armed forces and reclaiming the authority of the Nigerian state wherever criminality threatens peace and order,' he said.
With security improvements in some areas but challenges persisting in others, how is the changing security situation affecting your daily life, business operations, or travel plans across different regions of Nigeria?
