Tinubunominates Oyedele as minister of state for finance
President Tinubu has nominated Taiwo Oyedele as minister of state for finance, replacing Doris Anite-Uzoka who moves to the Ministry of Budget and National Planning. The Senate will screen and confirm Oyedele's appointment, which Tinubu says aligns with Section 147(2) of the Nigerian Constitution. Oyedele, 50, is an economist and former PwC partner who overhauled Nigeria's tax system as head of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms. He holds an HND in accountancy and a BSc from Oxford Brookes University.
