Trabzonspor have turned down two transfer offers for their Nigeria international striker Paul Onuachu, DAILY POST reports. The first approach came from Saudi Arabian club Al‑Ahli during the winter window, and a second offer arrived this summer from an unnamed suitor. Both were rejected as the Turkish side looks to keep the 32‑year‑old forward.

Onuachu enjoyed a standout 2025/26 season after joining Trabzonspor from Sky Bet Championship side Southampton. He finished joint‑top scorer in the Turkish Super Lig alongside İstanbul Başakşehir’s Eldor Shomurodov and claimed the Süper Lig Goal of the Season award for his bicycle‑kick effort against Fatih Karagümrük.

His retention means Trabzonspor maintains a proven goal‑scoring option for the upcoming campaign, while Nigerian fans gain a familiar face to follow in European football. The club’s stance signals intent to compete for domestic honours and possibly European qualification.

Contract details were not disclosed, but supporters can watch whether Onuachu will attract further interest as the transfer window progresses or remain a key part of Trabzonspor’s plans. Will his continued presence in Turkey inspire more Nigerian youngsters to aim for leagues abroad, or will a bigger offer eventually lure him away?
