Troops neutralize terrorists, rescue victims across North East theatre
Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI conducted multiple operations across the region, neutralizing insurgents and rescuing kidnapped victims. In coordinated offensives at Valle, Ashigashiya and Gakara areas, troops neutralized two Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists with superior firepower, while others fled toward Ngoshe. Along Bravo Kilo 10 axis, troops intercepted suspected terrorists, neutralizing one insurgent and recovering a radio set and mobile phone.
Troops successfully rescued two victims: eight-year-old Abubakar Mublagha abducted during March 3 attack on Ngoshe community, and 20-year-old Dahiru Ahamdu who escaped captors after artillery bombardment of terrorist camps. Ahamdu had been abducted May 8 while grazing cattle in Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State. Both victims received medical evaluation and were reunited with their families.
Security forces also recovered significant arms including four 40mm RPG bombs, one 81mm mortar bomb and four 60mm mortar bombs in Magza area. Additionally, troops arrested suspected collaborator Kuti Muhammad (CJTF member), responded to armed robbery arresting three suspects, and apprehended four cattle rustlers with six stolen cattle at Kwaya Kusar Market. Residents in affected areas should remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to security authorities.
