The troops were said to have moved swiftly to the scene, forcing the attackers to flee on sighting the advancing soldiers. One civilian was later found with gunshot injuries and was immediately given attention, according to the report. According to Makama, the area has since been secured by troops, while efforts are ongoing to track down the fleeing suspects and prevent further attacks in the community.
