He added that the victims were rescued on April 5, 2026, at about 6pm in the Alimogiza Forest in Anwain area of the Etsako West Local Government area by operatives of the Corps. Balogun explained that the victims had disclosed that the kidnappers have already opened negotiations with their families, demanding a ransom of N60 million before they were rescued. He also alleged that the suspected kidnappers said to be about 10 in number had killed one of their victims. He, however, added that about seven other victims are still being held captive by the abductors.
