Turkey condemns Israel's assassinations of Iranian officials

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan condemned Israel's targeting of senior Iranian state officials, calling the actions 'political assassinations' outside normal laws of war. Speaking in Ankara, Fidan demanded an immediate end to the military purge, which he described as unlawful. Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed the elimination of Ali Larijani, head of Iran's Revolutionary Guards, and Gholamreza Soleimani, commander of the Basij volunteer force. Netanyahu depicted both groups as 'gangsters' terrorizing Iranian cities and vowed further attacks to undermine the regime. The conflict has displaced over 800,000 people in Lebanon, with Fidan warning of a potential permanent refugee crisis. Netanyahu claimed Israel's actions are weakening Iran's regime and giving people an opportunity to remove it.
