He cautioned the Premier League leaders that Sporting is capable of beating any team in the Champions League following their comeback victory against Bodø/Glimt in the Round of 16 stage. According to him, the Portuguese side had defeated Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City in the past. “Sporting has the quality and conditions to beat any of these teams,” Virgilio said as quoted by Metro. “We have already beaten Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, and several clubs, and now it is another one. “It is a matter of having the same spirit from (the comeback victory against Bodø/Glimt in the Round of 16 second-leg tie) in these games. “In terms of quality, we are very similar, so if we work harder than Arsenal, we will have an advantage.” Don't Miss NWFL: Why Heartland lost to Edo Queens – Ogbala You may like UCL: Joleon Lescott predicts what’ll happen if Arsenal face Barcelona in semi-final UCL: ‘That’s not victory’ – Thierry Henry on what Barça did to Newcastle UCL: Konate committed fouls easily on Osimhen, worst referee officiated Galatasaray, Liverpool game – Buruk UCL: ‘He’s different’ – Steve McManaman picks best midfielder between Vitinha, Rice, Pedri UCL: Lookman eager to face Barcelona again UCL: Bayern Munich manager, Kompany names best team in history of competition
