UK imposes Windsor road closures, airspace restrictions for Tinubu state visit
Britain will impose airspace restrictions and road closures in Windsor next week as Nigerian President Bola Tinubu begins a state visit hosted by King Charles III. Tinubu is expected to arrive with his wife, Oluremi Tinubu, on Wednesday, March 18, with a reception scheduled at Windsor Castle in Windsor. Thames Valley Police confirmed permanent airspace restrictions over Windsor Castle will be extended on March 18, covering 7 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. as part of robust security measures. Breach constitutes criminal offence under UK Air Navigation Order. Officers with specialist capabilities including search teams, mounted units, roads policing and armed officers will be deployed across Windsor. Road closures and parking restrictions begin Tuesday, March 17, potentially causing temporary disruptions in and around Windsor.
