Umahi denies Ohiri's N250m debt claim, offers N1b if evidence provided
Minister of Works David Umahi has denied businesswoman Tracy Ohiri's allegation that he owed her N250 million for campaign services, stating he never discussed payment with her lawyer Marshall Abubakar. Umahi said Abubakar acted in good faith to assist Ohiri but neither requested nor received any money from the minister. He outlined two conditions for resolving the dispute: court determination or verifiable evidence including communications. If Ohiri provides complete evidence, Umahi said friends and associates would contribute N1 billion. The minister emphasized his commitment to delivering road infrastructure despite the controversy.
