UN chief urges global unity against rising anti-Muslim hate

Guterres also challenged technology companies to combat online hate speech and misinformation, stating that silence enables prejudice to spread. UN General Assembly President Annalena Baerbock echoed these concerns, noting that digital platforms accelerate the spread of misinformation and prejudice. Both leaders stressed that combating Islamophobia is essential for upholding universal human rights and shared humanity.
