Urgent Warning: Beware of Admission Scammers

In a very crucial update, the university management has issued a fresh warning regarding admission fraudsters. As the admission lists for the 2025/2026 session are being finalized, scammers masquerading as FUTA officials have been targeting desperate candidates, promising to "upgrade" their admission status for a fee.

The university has stated categorically that it does not charge money for admission outside the official portal payments. They emphasized that any candidate caught trying to "buy" admission through these backchannels risks being disqualified and handed over to the police. This warning was re-issued recently due to a spike in reports from victims who lost money in December and January.

The "gist" here is to protect the "freshers." Many new students are naive and desperate to secure their spots before Matriculation on Jan 26. The Students' Union has also joined in broadcasting this warning, telling students that if anyone asks for money into a personal account for "clearance" or "admission," it is a guaranteed scam.
