U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) reported striking nearly 2,000 targets in Iran since the U.S.-Israel offensive began Saturday. Admiral Brad Cooper stated forces destroyed over 2,000 munitions, severely degrading Iran's air defenses and eliminating hundreds of ballistic missiles, launchers, and drones. The military also sank 17 Iranian warships, claiming no Iranian vessels remain operational in the Arabian Gulf, Strait of Hormuz, or Gulf of Oman. The U.S. information could not initially be independently verified. The offensive followed Iran's missile strikes on U.S. bases in Gulf states, escalating regional tensions.
