The opening week of the US war against Iran cost $11.3 billion, according to Pentagon briefings reported by The New York Times. Defense officials revealed $5.6 billion worth of munitions were expended in just the first two days of fighting, far exceeding earlier estimates. The Center for Strategic and International Studies estimates the first 100 hours cost $3.7 billion ($891 million daily), with $3.5 billion not previously budgeted. The Iran War Cost Tracker shows over $17 billion spent so far, with $1 billion daily, though long-term costs like veteran healthcare remain uncounted.
