VaulFi, a North African fintech startup, launches a stablecoin-powered banking platform to solve cross-border payment challenges. Founded by Safa Korti and Karim Khattaby, both from Algeria and Egypt, the platform addresses prohibitive transfer fees and slow international transactions that currently force freelancers and remote workers to navigate complex workarounds. VaulFi's solution uses stablecoins as a borderless financial layer, enabling instant global transactions at a fraction of traditional costs. The platform offers euro accounts and is preparing to launch physical cards in weeks, targeting users excluded from traditional banking. This approach combines global infrastructure with deep local understanding, differentiating it from imported fintech models. The launch comes as stablecoins gain regulatory traction in Europe and the US, positioning VaulFi to capitalize on growing demand for accessible cross-border finance in the region.
