Human rights activist Aisha Yesufu says her practical education in African Democratic Congress has been more valuable than any political science degree. The BringBackOurGirls co-convener made this statement on her X handle Saturday, declaring 'joining ADC is the best decision I have ever made.'

Yesufu joined ADC on December 31, 2025, shortly after Peter Obi defected to the party. She emphasized that 'political parties are where the real power brokering takes place,' suggesting ADC offers hands-on political education that formal institutions cannot provide.

This endorsement comes as ADC positions itself as a formidable opposition platform ahead of 2027 elections. Previously, Yesufu advised opposition leaders Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar to focus on economic hardships rather than political messaging, arguing widespread poverty makes citizens prioritize immediate survival over campaign rhetoric.

Her praise for ADC's practical learning environment signals growing credibility for the party as it attracts influential political figures. The ADC appears to be building infrastructure for serious political participation beyond traditional party structures.

Is this about ADC's unique approach to political education, or are we seeing a realignment of Nigeria's opposition landscape?
