Zelenskyy: Patriot Missiles Can't Stop Mass Iranian Drones
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned that Patriot missile systems alone cannot effectively counter large-scale Iranian drone attacks. He stated that a single Iranian "Shahed" drone costs forty times less than a Patriot interceptor missile, making it impractical to compete with mass-produced drones. Even thousands of Patriot missiles would be insufficient against tens of thousands of drones due to production time and cost constraints. Zelenskyy emphasized Ukraine's air defense experience but noted the need for combined US-Ukraine partnerships to develop more effective systems against evolving drone threats.
