Zenith Bank Plc has issued a public disclaimer regarding a doctored video circulating on social media that falsely depicts Group Chairman Jim Ovia endorsing the fraudulent 'Wealth Bridge' investment scheme. The video, shared from a Facebook account named 'Greece Island', promises N2 million weekly returns on a N380,000 investment and falsely claims CBN backing. The bank stated the claims are entirely false and urged the public to disregard the fraudulent communications. This incident highlights growing concerns about AI-generated fake videos targeting Nigerians, following similar cases involving Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala. The bank warned against engaging with the 'Wealth Bridge' or related platforms and advised verifying investment opportunities through official channels.
